Tax Minimization Strategies for Dentists: What You Need to Know to Save Taxes in 2025
Taxes are one of the biggest expenditures and barriers to wealth for dentists. This course is designed to provide dentists with the knowledge necessary to efficiently operate as a practice owner or associate while minimizing tax liability. It will analyze the current tax system under the Tax Cuts and Job Acts of 2017, as well as the provisions set to expire at the end of 2025. We will explore entity structures, employee versus independent contractor issues, real estate, retirement planning strategies, and the tax implications of purchasing or selling a practice. After this course, you will be able to: identify strategies to minimize taxes within your practice; choose the correct entity structure to reduce taxes; and transition in or out of a practice with the lowest tax burden.
